A Little Levity For Labor Day in Prep for Lee

We're getting prepared for tropical something Lee (storm, depression, hurricane). I was surfing around and found this and thought you all would get a kick out of it. See, I do this "senior rant blog" thing, just cause I'm nearing that age and got to get it out of my system somehow.

This guy runs a very funny blog, take a look at his links and other older bloggers, too. Sometimes we just need a break from the doom and gloom.

I was wondering the other day, What if they called for an Apocalypse and Nobody Came?

    Here's my thought, Arsenius. We do spend a lot of time preparing for these disasters and catastrophes. Yet, run over to Facebook and see what our kids are writing about. Having fun, living life. I just don't want to get all pesimistic and alientate the folks I love.

    Will it happen in my lifetime? Will we slowly devolve into a different society and never experience sudden life changing crisis?

    At one time England was the world power. They seem to do fine as a basic modern country. Perhaps thats where the USA is headed.
    Just wondering outloud.
